I am so sorry that my son Ben and I just found out about this a few days ago – by January 2022 we had returned from the city and we’re leaving just a few doors down from the funeral home and yet we had no idea this terrible thing happened to Edward and his family.

I remember My Son visiting their house at one point as an elementary school student and seeing a whole lot of engineering and science books around thinking that maybe Edward would be one someday like his dad Marshal. I remember running into him and his family and all the various things you do with young boys at the elementary school, like Little League and violin and band and some other things too. He was always so polite and happy, and he was a good big brother to his younger siblings, and Rosalie and Marshall were really angels to start a whole second family of children, so late in their lives. We are thinking  healing thoughts for all the family, especially his brother Richard. Love, Caron and Ben Shapiro of Croton.

To all in the Nathan family. As a coach you meet a lot of families, both parents and young athletes. With that said some stick out more than others. Edward was certainly one of those. He was a presence in all that he did. I will remember him his brothe and sister as well as his parents. It is a very special family

Edward, I remember coming to see you when our birth mother had visitation with you when you was a baby, Then 4years ago we reunited as a family wishing we had more time to love and cherish each other. I love you and miss you much! Saying good bye or rather see you later was very hard to do! To the Nathan family thank you for letting our lil brothers reunite with their other family  that was a blessing! God bless you both for that. Edward may you rest and peace and watch over your family!

Cathy and I are so sorry to hear of Edwards passing.  We enjoyed talking with him in the back of church before the 8 AM mass on Sunday mornings.
Cathy has fond memories of teaching Edward at CET grammar school.

It was with deep sorrow that I recently learned of the passing of your son, Edward.  

As his French teacher during his years at PVC, I had the pleasure of getting to know Ed as a young fifth grade boy and celebrate his eighth grade graduation as a young man.  He had an engaging sense of humor and always enjoyed being with his classmates.

My deepest sympathy to Ed's siblings and parents.

I remember Edward as a very small child with a great laugh. He and my son were friends when they were quite young and I'm sorry they lost touch. My deepest sympathy to all of you. It is unbelievably unfair that this young life was taken.

I was one of the nurses who took care of Edward in the hospital. He had me laughing so much and I could just tell he had such a kind heart. He fought until the very end. I will always remember his strength. 

Our condolences to Edward’s family, Marshall, Rosalie, Richard and Anjane. Watching him grow from a little boy to a young man was a gift for us all. We hold him close to our hearts and will never forget his beautiful  smile.

 I had the pleasure of being Ed's seventh grade math teacher at PVC.  His genuine smile and overall kindness are two things that I will never forget. I will always remember him fondly. Eddie was a young man of good character with a beautiful heart and a smile to match.  He always stuck up for the underdog, and was a wonderful friend.  We will all long remember and miss his loving kindness.  May he rest in peace and his family and friends take comfort  in their memories of  a truly good man.  I'm so sorry we wont get to see him mature and finish growing up. I think he had a lot more to offer the world. His  loss is a loss to all those who will not get the chance to know him and those of us who are deprived of seeing him achieve his potential.  

I remember Eddy from PVC - always smiling!  He was such a happy, sincere and  very gifted  person.   My sincere and heartfelt condolences to the Nathan family .

We are heartbroken. With love and our deepest condolences, Remembering Eddie in 2nd grade always hugging my son—to the point I had to ask the teacher to please help my skinny little boy to eat his lunch without Eddie’s arms wrapped around him! Lol. Full of love and smiles that will always be with us. May he rest  in peace, Bravery beyond comprehension. A lesson to stop, hug and love. I will always remember Eddie as the smiling happy boy playing violin with my kids - driving to rock music camp together and home from orchestra. Of course he was a great athlete - but the musical side will always be my favorite. Sending my love to all of you

I’ve had the honor and pleasure to know Edward since he was a baby. I loved watching him grow up, play baseball and was so proud of the athlete he became. I send all my love to his family. We met Eddie when he was a 12 year old baseball player for Croton and I was coaching Somers. Not only was Eddie the best player who hit many moonshot home runs, he always seemed to be smiling. My son, John, and Eddie later became friends and attended Kennedy Catholic HS together.  He’ll certainly be missed. 

Rest In Peace, Eddie. Lord, receive him.
