She was born July 7, 1930 in Goldtown, the daughter of Henry Jackson and Alma Mildred Harrison Comer. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ola Clyde Dawson, and several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her children, Barbara Morrison, Ulysses Dawson, Bernice Kelley, Melton Dawson, Charlene Wright, Gardell Dawson, Darla Hurley, Michael Dawson, and Nathan Dawson, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends
Celebration of Virgie’s life will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Tyler Mt. Funeral Home with Pastor Donnie Kiser officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mt. Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.
Gathering of family and friends will be from 12 until time of service.
