She passed away at home after a short illness, while surrounded by her loving family.
Margaret was born in Mullens, WV and lived and raised her family in Dunbar, WV.
When she retired, she moved to Fort Pierce, FL. She lived the last 9 years of her life with her daughter in
Vero Beach, FL.
Margaret was preceded in death by the love of her life, Howard “Ducky” Darnold.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Carroll Elliott, son and daughter-in-law, Skip and
Jan Darnold, Grandchildren, Kim Elliott, Julie and Jason Wright, Angie and Chris Comer, Brent Darnold,
and Nikki Darnold. Great grandchildren, Felicia and Ryan King, Dominic Deters and Chy, Courtney James,
JJ Wright, Zachary Wright, Dalton Comer, Caitlyn Comer, Matthew Darnold and Russell, and Abby
Darnold and Great great granddaughter, Avery King.
Celebration of Margaret’s life will 1:00 P.M. Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Tyler Mt. Funeral Home with her niece, Pastor Maggie Garred officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mt. Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.
Gathering of family and friends will be from noon until time of service at the funeral home.
