Claudia was a retired Clerk with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court. She graduated from Stonewall Jackson High School. She mostly enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband, Richard Nutter; parents, Ray and Elsie Stewart; and niece, Karen Smith.
Left to cherish her memory are children, Carla Nutter of Charleston, Steven Nutter of Cross Lanes, and Shari Withrow (Adam) of Cross Lanes; husband, William Layne of Cross Lanes; brothers, Raymond (Rhonda) and John (Linda) Stewart both of Cross Lanes; sister, Bebe Bostic (Orville) of Parkersburg; grandchildren, Payton, Jordan, Harper, Sutton, Abby, Dakota, Hunter, Alexis, and Dylan; and her dog, Colby.
Service will be 1:00pm Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Tyler Mountain Funeral Home, Cross Lanes, WV with Celebrant H.R. Whittington officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens.
A visitation will begin at 11:00am Saturday at the funeral home.
