Charles “Charlie” Franklin Selbe, 90, of Cross Lanes passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017 after a short illness. He was retired from Goodrich Gulf and then continued on with his son in Selbe Excavating and Construction Company. Charlie was a WWII Navy Veteran. Charlie was preceded in death by his daughter, Dara; parents, Walter and Francis Selbe; brother, Raymond; and sister, Marian Helmic. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 67 years, Edna; son, Joe and his wife, Debbie, of Cross Lanes; granddaughter, Staci Shiflet and her husband, Mark of Dayton, Virginia; great-granddaughters, Dara and Brooke Shiflet; and his four legged companions, whom he cherished, JoJo and Chica. Service will be 11:00am Friday, July 21, 2017 at Tyler Mountain Funeral Home, 5233 Rocky Fork Road, Cross Lanes, WV 25313 with Pastor Mayford Witt officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will be 6-8pm Thursday, July 20th, 2017 at the funeral home.
