Rebecca "Becky" Ann Combs

Born July 25, 1949 in Peoria to Royce and Phyllis (Duttarer) White, she married William “Bill” Caroly Combs on December 31, 1965. He died September 5, 2019 in Lehigh Acres, Florida. She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Surviving are two sons, David “Billy” (Michele) Combs of East Peoria and Brian K. (Mary) Combs of Staunton, Virginia; five grandchildren, Ashley (Connor) Smith of East Peoria, Ryan Combs of Normal, Harrison Combs, Solomon Combs and Magnolia Combs, all of Staunton, Virginia; one great-granddaughter, Emerson Smith and one on the way in May; two sisters, Mary (Nate) Willmon of North Pekin and Sandy (Steve) Bryan of Germantown Hills; two brothers, David (Sheila) White of East Peoria and Allen (Julie) White of Germantown Hills and one step-brother, Steve (Sandy) Linneman of Metamora.

Becky had worked as an in home daycare provider for 30-plus years before retiring in 2022.

She enjoyed shopping with her sister, cooking for her family, traveling, crafting and bird watching. She also enjoyed reading, listening to Southern Gospel music and watching Hallmark Christmas movies. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.

Becky was a member of Christ Bible Church in Creve Coeur.

Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur. Pastor Tom Pisano will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Burial will be at Prairie Haven Cemetery in Pekin.
