Richard Dale Fox Jr.

Richard Dale Fox Jr “Rick” was born 28 January 1955 in Crawfordsville, Indiana to Richard Dale Fox Sr and Deloris Mae Jinkins. Rick never married. He died in his own bed in Baggs, Carbon County, Wyoming on the 12th June 2022, He had been battling myelodysplastic syndrome for about 5 years. Rick was cremated at Grant Mortuary and Crematory, Moffat County, Craig, Colorado on the 16th June 2022 and ashes will be spread in his Wyoming mountains in the near future. Rick will be missed by all.

He graduated from Covington High School in 1973. Then in November of same year enlisted into the Air Force. He served from then to June 1976. He has lived in Baggs, Carbon County, Wyoming for over 40 years. He was our –“Mountain Man”. Loved fishing, hunting, jewelry making, carpenter work. He worked on oil rigs, jack of all trades, plus for over 16 years was a contracted mail carrier for the post office in the mountains between Baggs, WY and Craig, CO.

Rick is preceded in death by parents, 2 sets of grandparents, and nephew, Mark Allan Craig. Plus many aunts and uncles.

Survived his sister, Dellie and husband Roger Craig in Crawfordsville, Indiana. One niece, 3 grand nephews, and 1 grand niece . In addition 3 great grand neices, and 2 great grand nephews. Only one aunt survives Sue Jinkins Kucharczyk of Nevada.. Several cousins and dear friends all over USA. Also survived by special friends his Wyoming/Colorado who helped him thru his illness, traveling for dr appts, and taking care of him his last days- Zach Mackey (his caregiver) , Fred Herrera, Chuck, Glnyda Sheedan, Tom Grieve and many more.
