Richard is survived by his sister Vivian Rice, his children Julia Milardovich (Dan), Elizabeth Kramar (Kevin), Denise Rice, Donna Sowa, Valerie Torres (Eric); his beloved grandchildren Josh (Lora), Petar (Lisa), Jessica, Emily (Michael), Steven (Allison), Kasimer (Becca), Maggie, Zachary, Lexi, Joey, Riley and 14 great grandchildren.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents Jonathan and Lillie, his wife Tae, and his son Richard “Greg” Rice.
Richard was handsome, funny, and always had a joke to tell. He had so many adventures and stories to share. Richard spent 30 years in the Navy; he loved his career and amassed many lifetime friendships. He spent over 25 years in Tucson, AZ, a community he called home. His retirement years were spent traveling with Tae to far-away places both by air and cruise ship.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the burial services at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, Slidell, LA on 31, March 2023 at 10:00 am.
