Renee “Ronnie” Raines McGehee of Covington, LA passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at the age of 91. Ronnie was born in New York City and moved to New Orleans in 1962. She was the beloved wife of the late Marvin Raines and the late Patrick Hugh McGehee; daughter of the late Jack and Lillian Levey; and sister of the late Elma Bernstein. Ronnie is survived by her children Susan Gauthier, Jeffrey Raines and Robert Raines; step-children Elizabeth McGehee and Patrick McGehee, Jr; grandchildren April Cook, D.J. McConnell, Jessica Bordes, Megan Owens, Michael Gauthier, Rachel Raines, Jarrod Raines, Maria Suggs, Michelle Stevenson and Katie Miano; great-grandchildren Macy Cook, Braxton Raines, Taran Owens, Killian Owens, Charlie Bordes, Amara McConnell, Ryann Bordes, Adelyn Suggs and Samantha Bordes; and nieces, nephews and loving friends. Ronnie enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family, and she loved her family deeply. She will be dearly missed by all the lives she touched.
