Paul is survived by parents Lawrence and Marilyn Zummo; He is also survived by his sister, Angela Zummo Hunley and his brother, Andrew Zummo (Trang) and his nephews, Kaleb Hunley and Lucas Zummo. Paul is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Rosemary Baudier Favaloro and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Paul is preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Salvador D. and Marie Ferro Zummo and maternal grandfather, J. Roger Baudier, Jr.
Paul was loved and admired by all who knew him. He was quick to offer a smile and lend a hand when anyone needed him. He was an avid beer connoisseur and would be happy to share his new discoveries with everyone. He was a loving uncle who spent much free time with his nephews. He also had a love of the sea and would hop on a vessel any chance he had. He spent most of his career as an auto mechanic and service writer and used his expertise to help family and friends in need.
He was an active member of St. John of the Cross Alex Selmel Knights of Columbus Council where he was recently named Knight of the Month. Paul’s final gift was as an Organ Donor. He was honored by LOPA (Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency) and the staff at Ochsner Baptist Hospital for sharing the gift of his body to those in need.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, 61030 Brier Lake Drive, Lacombe, LA 70445 on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 11:00 AM with visitation at the church beginning at 9:00 AM. A reception will be held at the VFW Post 8920, 28000 Main St, Lacombe, LA 70445.
Burial will take place privately at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to consider donating to your favorite charity in Paul’s name as he was a strong believer in giving to others and generously shared his gifts and talents to those who needed it.
