Maureen Theresa Ryan Fulham

Maureen Theresa Ryan Fulham passed away to eternal life on September 29th 2023 at the age of 73. She was born and raised in the Gentilly area and was a 1968 graduate of St. Joseph Academy. She later attended the University of New Orleans. She was the wife of Don Edward Fulham for 46 ½ years. Her daughters are Jessica F. Marloff (Grayson) of New Orleans and Lauren F. Happel (Steve) of Covington, LA. Grandchildren are London E. Marloff (age 6) and Ryan E. Happel (age 5). She was preceded in death by her parents Emmett Lawrence Ryan Jr. and Norma Harney Ryan of New Orleans. Her sisters are Gerry P. Bagert (Barry), and Ruth A. Anderson (deceased) (Dave), and brother Emmet L. “Larry” Ryan, III (Terri).

She loved working at and retired from LSU Medical School where she was an administrative assistant for many years. She guided 1st and 2nd year medical students thru their studies. She was a loving mother and grandmother who loved to dance and was an excellent cook. She was a fine seamstress who sewed many of her own clothes for herself and family members, including a beautiful suit for her husband. She handcrafted drapes and window coverings for every home she ever lived in.

A celebration of Maureen’s life will be held on October 14, 2023 at Grace Funeral Home at 450 Holy Trinity Drive in Covington, LA. Visitation will be from 9AM to 10:30AM, followed by the eulogy at 10:30AM. Mass will be from 11AM to noon, and a catered lunch on site from noon to 1PM. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association.
