John Kuzma

KUZMA, John - After a lengthy and courageous battle on February 28, 2014, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa in his 83rd year, the lord our god and savior took him to heaven. May he grant him eternal peace and rest. Lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years Pavlina. Cherished father of Slava (Bruno), Nick, Stan (Linda), and Zdravko (Liana). Much loved and will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Amanda (Saul), Shawn (Michelle), Jessica, Jeremy, Calvin, Keri, Mateja, Melissa, and Austin. Lovingly remembered by his great-grandchildren as Tata to Jaycelyn, Jasmine, Jaxson, Kennedy, Cieanna and Lyric. Predeceased by his parents Nick and Katie Kuzma and survived by his sister Christina. John was born in Kirkland Lake, Ontario, he spent 32 years of his life in Slovenia, then returned to Canada and lived and worked in Oshawa. John was a very caring, dedicated and hardworking man, he loved his family unconditionally. He was an avid hunter, he loved to go to the cottage where he and his wife enjoyed fishing. He loved having his family gather, so he could roast a pig or lamb. A big family man Zivio dad. Visitation will be held at the Courtice Funeral Chapel (1587 Highway #2, Courtice ON, 905-432-8484) on Wednesday March 5, 2014 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Therese Roman Catholic Church on Thursday March 6, 2014 at 10am.
