Bill, Clarke and I remember so well the evening we met you and Wanda during our cruise.  What luck for us that we met two such wonderful people.  Our immediate friendship felt so comfortable and right.  Wanda and I immediately felt like sisters and shared confidences so quickly.  We share your sadness but relish our times spent together. I met Wanda and Bill when my mum was in palliative care in December 2019 at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville.  I will never forget their kindness. They didn’t know me from a bar of soap, but were so warm and caring even though they had their own challenges.   Always laughing and joking.  Meeting you both definitely helped me to get through and made my life much better during that time.  My heart goes out to you Bill and I wish I could give you a hug, just like Wanda did moments after my mum passed.  Thank you for your friendship and kindness.  Sending you much love from Australia. Aunt Wanda was an amazing lady. She was always there for me to help guide me, to support me and to just listen and never judge me.  One of my fondest memories was us making my wedding dress. It was a long couple of days and when I doubted my abilities to do it, she helped encourage me and we did it together. I still have my wedding dress hanging in my closet and it now stands as a reminder of an amazing woman who I was lucky to have be a part of my life. I’ll miss you Aunt Wanda.

So many good memories when i was young camping with the Pitchforth family. Bill and Wanda were like an Aunt and Uncle. I feel blessed to have kept in touch with all of you.
 Wanda was a beautiful, strong, intelligent woman who loved her family so dearly. 
Rest in peace Wanda. You and my mom have a lot of catching up to do.


I have been on this page many times trying to put into word how I feel.  Losing aunt Wanda is very hard for me. She was a big part of my life.  From when I spent time with her and uncle Bill at the cottage as a teen. Christmas and Easter dinners. And the long talks we would share when I would stopping in at their place. 
Uncle Bill we are always here for you. Aunt Wanda was a very lucky women to have you by her side. 
Duane and Lee, the only thing that will be able to fill the hole you are feeling is the memories you have.  Hold on to them. Whether they are good or bad. These memories are that made you the wonderful men you are today.

Bill, we are so sorry and sad to hear of Wanda's passing.   Although we only knew you and Wanda for a few years, we sure enjoyed your friendship and the memories we had in Mexico, sitting on the beach, sharing laughs and talking about travel and life experiences. As a young adult, Wanda gave me a lead to satisfying employment, helped me land an apartment and most importantly offered support when I needed to make peace with challenging situations.  I will always have a special place in my heart for this caring relative that welcomed me into her arms whenever I needed comfort.  
Like probably all of us that loved Wanda, we could talk for hours about all kinds of things and never feel quite done chatting. Wanda had such a good heart that all that knew her will forever feel her absence.
