My mom ( Beth Hanna) just told me this news and I’m sorry to hear of your loss. It’s been many years since we’ve last crossed paths. I have many memories of popping “ over to the court” for a visit , playing some games and just hanging out for a bit sharing some laughs.  Getting the odd treats here and there too!

I met JC when I bought my Tim Hortons in his 41 Division. He was the first to introduce himself, offered great advice about the neighbourhood and always had my back. We stayed in contact when I moved to Whitby for a few years but busy lives allowed us to loose contact. He was a great guy and will be dearly missed. My heartfelt condolences to his entire family.

Dear Jamie, Stephen and Mrs. Tremblay: So very sorry to hear you've lost your dad and husband.  Although it's been many years since we've been in touch, I have fond memories of your family growing up. You were a nice family and I remember childhood parties, eating pepperoni and mushroom pizzas, playing board games with your parents (Mr. and Mrs. Tremblay) at your place. I remember your parents, Jamie, being very involved and hands on in our childhood events. It is never easy to lose a parent or loved one and my thoughts are with you guys. I hope God comforts you, gives you strength to carry on (as you all are his legacy) and gives you peace knowing he lived his life well and he was a happy man. Please accept my deepest condolences.

Hello , regretfully I have tested
Positive for COVID as a relative told me they were positive last night . I did a rapid test and was negative . This afternoon my throat was getting sore so I did  another  rapid test and was positive .  I was at the visitation Tuesday night from approximately  715-8 pm , give 15 minutes each way . So sorry

We met Harold and the Destin group through a simple act of kindness after a stormy night in Destin.  I left my driver's side truck window down one night and of course, Destin had a big rainstorm.  Harold saw my Fraternal Order of Police license plate, and subsequently set out to help.  He cut a trash bag up, went back into the rain, and covered up my driver's side window.   The next morning is when I officially met Harold and Gord.  Harold and I had a lot in common, and even though we live outside Dayton Ohio, he actually new my training Officer, and some of my friends.  Over the years we became closer and suddenly, we were exchanging Police items, and became close friends.  Karla and I were tag alongs with the Destin group, but Harold and the group treated us like family.  I talked to Harold a few weeks ago, and everyone was excited about going to Destin this year.

To Harold's family, Karla and I are heart broken for your loss.  Harold was a good man and fun to be around.     We have been praying for all of you and the Destin group.  I always felt that God placed Harold in that nasty rainstorm so we could meet and become friends.

I remember Mr. Tremblay very very fondly, always at every one of Riley’s (and I’m sure Jake’s too) hockey games.  He would greet everyone and chat with you like he knew you for years.  Once he actually did know you for years he treated you like family.  I gained and will always have great respect for Mr. Tremblay.  Sir it has been an honour to have known you.  You will certainly live on through not only your sons but your grandchildren as well.  You will be missed…Rest In Paradise my good Sir and if I may make a request, please let Marcus know Dad says “Hi and I love you” ❤️

J.C. Was one of a kind, the best kind. I knew J.C. at 41 Division where he and the late George Woolcott were the goalies for many seasons. He could make you laugh especially his impersonations of “Fonzie”. He was a good friend to many at 41 Division. Now he and George are back stopping each other. I remember Harold Tremblay as a cheerful and caring father, coach and friend of the family.  He provided lots of patience and guidance at the hockey rink to a bunch of boys as we grew into young adults.  He was a dear friend of both my father, Bill (d.2008) and my mother, Cindy. Growing up, Harold was my favourite male cousin. At 5 years old, we were going to get married (sorry Barb). Years ago, I met up with Harold for coffee when he was on bicycle patrol in Scarborough and his buddies showed up to make sure he was okay.  
I feel so bad because I have been meaning to call Harold to share family memories and pictures, but I waited too long. Harold was such a sweet person, always smiling and kind. I wish I had made that call. Rest in peace, Harold.

I worked with “JC” on the road in the 70’s and 80’s, in later years in Youth and Community Services up to his retirement from 41 Division. I always cherished Harold’s insight and logic, tempered with a spry sense of humour.  “JC” was devoted to his profession with a strong will to protect Children and Adolescents. A trusted School Officer to many Scarborough Students and School Administrators over his career, while still caring for and enjoying his own family.  
We offer our condolences Barb, James, Stephen and families, with respect for a remarkable man who is remembered with affection and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of “JC’s” friendship and company.

I worked at 41 Division and always knew JC.  He was an excellent police officer and could always be counted on to back anyone up in dangerous situations.  He and his partner made awesome progress in combatting violence and criminal activity in the division’s high schools.  I have much respect for him and count him as one of my friends. JC was the first person I met when I entered 41 Division as a cadet in June of 1971. I will always remember how kind and friendly he treated me.  
Later I worked at 41 Division for many years, and JC was truly one of the nicest people I have ever met. 
My deepest condolences to JC's loved ones, he will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

I first knew JC through the Police Department's hockey league. Then in the late 80's I was stationed at 41 Division on C platoon with JC. 
JC was an officer who was an informal leader of the group. He was dependable and trustworthy and willing to share his knowledge with a rookie supervisor.  My condolences to JC's family, as you know we have lost a good person. 

Barb and family, I can't believe the pain and sorrow you must be going through.  My sincerest condolences.  I know that I miss him terribly.  Harold was always there for us.  As kids, he would protect us from the neighbourhood bullies and it usually cost him a bleeding nose.  Dad taught him how to box just to protect that nose.  When our brothers passed on he was there to help and do whatever was necessary.  Always smiling, cheerful, and loved to organize.  Very social.  I was so looking forward to our visit and to spend time in Destin with Harold and yourself.
I will miss him dearly.
