Pat passed away peacefully in the presence of family at the North Island Hospital on Thursday, June 17th. She is predeceased by her husband, Jack Irving Thorley Talbot (1930 – 1999), and survived by her five children and fourteen grand children. Pat was born and raised in Vancouver, BC before working as a laboratory technician then marriage to Jack in 1955 and raising her family in Campbell River and Courtenay. In the later sixties Pat discovered her passion for collectibles, first through the bottle digging craze of that time and later branching into the appreciation, buying, selling of collectibles of every description. Within that passion she found a livelihood, community, and friendships (except at garage sales, there are no friendships at garage sales) that lasted even to the last hours of her time here. Pat’s family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the neighbours, friends, and people at the North Island Hospital for the assistance and support they gave Pat over the past few years.
