Margaret accomplished a great deal in her life, she graduated from the University of Alberta in 1953 with a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics, a career she retired from at the age of 64.
Margaret enjoyed a lifelong love of music, playing the organ at her church for many years and being part of several choirs, including a madrigal group. Margaret also wrote short stories, several of which her family will treasure for years to come. In later years she often told stories about her beloved horse Brownie who she was lucky enough to have throughout her childhood and university years.
Margaret married and had two children: George Hall (Carol) and their children Bradley Hall and Sarah Hall and Jane Kerr (Rob) and their daughter Linden Kerr. Margaret was fortunate to also have two great grandchildren, Elijah Anderson-Hall, and Georgia Hall.
In December 1972, Margaret married Ralph White who sadly predeceased her in the spring of 2022; together they enjoyed nearly 50 years of marriage. She was looking forward to being reunited with Ralph and the furry friends they enjoyed during their years together, Jenny, Bonnie, Darby, and Duffy.
Also predeceasing Margaret were her parents, George and Gertrude Scougall, and her sisters Betty McFadyen (AB) and twin sister Louisa Sherlock (Billy) and several cousins who she grew up with.
Billy’s children and grandchildren will also miss Margaret.
A private graveside service will be held in the spring of 2024.
