Kathleen was born on January 3, 1939 in Toronto. She was a bookkeeper at the Officer's Mess at CFB Comox and later was a tax consultant at Budget Tax Services. Kathleen was a kind and generous woman who was smart, independent and self-sufficient. She married in 1960 and went on to raise two daughters. Kathleen enjoyed knitting, sewing, walking, reading, attending church and participating in church activities, as well as volunteering.
Kathleen is survived by her daughters Mary Turner; Janette Avcil; her sisters Beth Cope, Maureen Miles, and Patricia Lamb; her grandchildren, Shawn, Brandon, Heather, Kristin and Isla, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service in honor of Kathleen will be held on Tuesday, September 5th, at 1 pm at Piercy's Funeral Home. Open casket at 11 am. The family welcomes expressions of condolences and other thoughtful wishes at this time.
