Gord was born on November 25, 1943 in Coleraine, N. Ireland and always had a smile on his face with a helping hand for anyone who needed it. Gord was a steady, solid man, and a loving husband, father and grandad. He loved muscle cars, playing golf, watching sports, reading, splitting wood, working on projects around the house and tinkering in his work shop. But most of all he loved morning coffee chat with Irene, and visits with his children and grandchildren.
Predeceased by his parents Patricia M. MacIntyre (Moore) and RAF Flt. Lt. Gordon Leslie MacIntyre DFC. Gord is survived by Irene, his loving wife and best friend for 48 years, daughter Brenda (Aaron), son Ian (Diane), sister Elaine (Doug), brother Thomas (Rita), and granddaughters Hannah, Emily, Isla and Wren.
His closest friends John and Garry passed before him and we are sure they are sitting back, enjoying a cold one, welcoming Gord home.
“A limb has fallen from our family tree that says grieve not for me. Remember the best times, the laughter and the song and most of all the good life I lived while I was strong.”
