Hagadorn, M.D., who died on August 9, 2011. Barbara was born on January 28, 1931, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Pauline and Earl Ritter. Barbara, a registered nurse, met Jack during his surgical residency at County Hospital in St. Louis. They married and moved to Southern California, eventually locating to the city of Newport Beach. The family shares fond memories of spending summers at Corona Beach, an ocean side community south of Ensenada, Baja California, where they enjoyed the sun, the surf and the sand while swimming, surfing and fishing along with their dear friends, the Hammetts; Mary Jo, Jack, and family. While Dr. Hagadorn spent most weekdays in the States taking care of his patients, Barbara enjoyed caring and cooking for her children during those long summers in Mexico. She excelled at preparing the local cuisine and on occasion would endeavor to make dozens of homemade tamales along with Mary Jo. She enjoyed the beach life, talking with her friends, sipping Margaritas, and laughing often each and every day. Barbara was an animal lover and surrounded herself with her dogs (both large and small breeds) and cats. She and Jack enjoyed frequent visits to their vacation home in Palm Desert to relax, play golf and visit with friends. Barbara will be remembered for her love, kindness, compassion, and endearing smile. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
