After graduating from River View High School in 1967, he joined the United States Air Force. He served from 1967 to 1971 as a Sgt. in the Security Police Squadron, Strategic Air Command. On November 22, 1975, he married Minnie “Esther” (Parks) Dusenberry who survives.
After serving in the military, Larry worked at Pretty Products, Auger Coal Mine, back to Pretty Products and then he worked at Cyclops/ AK Steel, retiring in 2011. His passion was farming with his family and raising cows and goats. Larry liked to go fishing, trapping, deer hunting and playing slow pitch men’s softball. He loved to tell a good joke and have a great time. He was a simple, loving family man who adored his wife, children and grandchildren.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Esther Dusenberry; his two children, Larry Dusenberry Jr., of Coshocton and Renee (Brian) Rahn of Coshocton; two grandsons, Brevin Rahn and Brogan Rahn; brother, Rex (Carole) Dusenberry of Coshocton; sister, Roxie Dusenberry of Dayton and two nieces, Laurie and Melissa.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, September 9, 2024, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home and on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the funeral home. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 am on Tuesday with Pastor Kyle Dunfee officiating. Burial will be held at Valley View Cemetery in Warsaw with the Coshocton County Veterans Honor Guard preforming Military Services.
