Jim “Choo Choo Man” Carroll, 76, passed away at his residence on Saturday, March 22, 2014. He was born in Lafe, Arkansas on March 14, 1938, the son of the late James Thomas and Virgie Ola (Graves) Carroll. Jim was a 1956 graduate of Rutland High School. He owned and operated Carroll’s Buckeye Ford, Carroll’s Advertising, and Carroll’s Buckeye Motors, from which he retired. Jim was a member of the Coshocton Masonic Lodge F&AM #96, Aladdin Shrine, Coshocton Elks Lodge #376 and the Emmanuel Lutheran Church. On January 11, 1958 Jim married Thula Lucille (Weiser) Carroll, who survives. In addition to his wife, Jim is survived by his two children, Kimberly (Dave) Unger of Coshocton, and James Keith (Kelley) Carroll of Westerville, Ohio; four grandchildren, Tiffany, Marcus, Cody, and Kimberly; two great grandchildren, Brandon and Braxton; three sisters, Nomai (Bill) Tillis, Martha (John) Zechman, and Mary (Darvin) Rine all of Pennsylvania; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Jim is preceded in death by one grandson, Brandon Unger; and one infant brother. Per Jim’s wishes cremation will take place with a private graveside service at South Lawn Cemetery.
