He was born on June 6, 1974 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Deacon Aaron Bynum and Eldress Kathryn (White-Bynum) Pollard.
Brother Aaron was a member of the Supreme Council of the House of Jacob. He enjoyed fishing, singing, playing his bass guitar, reading, science, cooking and watching movies. He grew up in Minneapolis, MN and Columbus, OH. He graduated from Independence High School in Columbus, OH. He dearly loved his family and spending time with friends.
He is survived by his parents, wife, Sister Tiffany (Abbott) Bynum, children, Anaja Bynum, Kamiya Bynum, O’Rhyin Hoist and Idreyiss Hoist; siblings, Brother Andrew Bynum (Sister Mary), Lydia Bynum and Crystal Javed; three step-sisters, Shani Avery-Scott, Esther Pollard, Pamela Pollard, grandpa, Deacon Henry “Hank” Herd III; and host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He will be missed by all those that knew and loved him.
Brother Aaron is preceded in death by his twin brother, Abram Bynum, grandparents, Adv. Pres. Eld. John Bynum and Sister Effie (Duerson-Bynum) Braxton and Sr. Deacon Joseph and Adv. Sr. Mother Beverly Joyce White; and mother-in-law, Teresa (Arnold) Abbott.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Due to health and safety concerns related to COVID-19, social distancing measures will be in place and there will be a limited number of people inside the funeral home at a time. We also ask that you please wear a facemask at all times for the health and safety of our guests and employees.
Funeral services will follow at the funeral home on Saturday, at 11:00 am with Bishop J. Mathias Pearson officiating. Burial will follow at Machpelah’s Burial Acres.
