Yolanda Valdez

Yolanda Valdez passed away on August 7, 2022 at the age of 64. She was born on April 6, 1958 in Corpus Christi, TX. She was a WOISD graduate, class of 1977. Over the years Yolanda held various positions working as a Pharmacy Technician at Christus Spohn Shoreline, as a Home Health care provider and at Levi Strauss.

She enjoyed traveling, gambling, family gatherings and bar-b-ques (especially her nephew, Howard Reyes Jr.’s brisket), camping and playing on her tablet.

Yolanda is preceded in death by her mother, Maria De La Garza Valdez; sister, Mary Ann Valdez; brother, Rudy Valdez; nephew, Michael Ornelas; maternal grandparents and paternal grandparents.

Yolanda will be remembered by her father, Tomas C. Valdez; brothers, Victor, Adam and Joe Valdez; sisters, Gloria (Howard) Reyes, Norma (Billy) Cowan and Elsa Valdez; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces and 2 special great-great nephews, Isaac Farias and Jayden Castro.

Visitation will be held at Funeraria del Angel, 549 Cheyenne St., on Sunday, August 21, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm that same evening.

Services will be held at Funeraria Del Angel, 549 Cheyenne St., on Monday, August 22, 2022 at 10:00 am with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
