William T. Gomez Jr.

William was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. William was employed with Glazer’s Drug Whole Sale for 39 years, and with Sears for 20 years in the shipping department as a truck driver. He will be remembered for his love of family, love of fishing and for enjoying his wood works. Participating in BBQ benefits and drinking his favorite beer, natural light was a simple pleasure he indulged in throughout his life. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is reunited with his parents, Guillermo and Petra Gomez; sisters, Minerva Gomez, Guadalupe Falcon; and brother, Jose T. “Pepe” Gomez.

William leaves his loving memories to his beloved wife who he would be celebrating 36 years of marriage with in November, Mary Gomez; his children, Billy Gomez (Sharleda), Mary Jane Ybarbo, Ellen Casanova (Tim), Andrea Miranda (Manuel), Hector Vargas (Lupe); grandchildren, John Thomas William Villa, Brian Ybarbo, Evelyn Ybarbo, Sam Gomez, Jamilah Gomez, Karla Miranda, Jessica Miranda; great grandchildren, Cassandra, Chris Jr., Jesse, Mia; and his sister, Yolanda Martinez.

A Memorial Service will be held at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery on Friday, October 4, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.
