Mrs. Theresa O. Flores, born December 16, 1940 of Corpus Christi, Texas, is at rest with her heavenly Christ, the Lord. She passed away of natural causes resulting from her battle with diabetes. Born in Parras Coahuila, Mexico (West of Monterrey), she is the only daughter of the late Ms. Beatriz Medellin from Armstrong, Texas (Armstrong Ranch), whom was a dignitary employee to the late Anne L. Armstrong (the first woman to serve as Counselor to a U.S. President and first woman to serve as U.S. Ambassador to the United Kingdom). Mrs. Armstrong influenced Theresa, greatly. Upon graduating from Riviera High School as Valedictorian in 1957, she left Armstrong ranch to pursue a life in Corpus Christi where she continued her studies at a business college. Mrs. Flores began her career at Driscoll Foundation Children's Hospital and retired after 42 yrs. She was a dedicated Pharmacist's Technician / Pharmaceutical Drug Buyer and a member of the Texas Society Health-Systems of Pharmacists for the Coastal Bend. She is survived by her husband of 54 yrs., Conrado M. Flores, Jr., and their five daughters, Glenda M. Barrera (Carlo Barrera), Gina M. Sanchez (Daniel Salinas), Gilda M. Armendariz (Andrew A. Armendariz), Giselda M. Flores (Wayne Brown), and Ganelle M. Perez (Chris Perez). She loved her dear grandchildren, Samantha M. Sanchez (Martin Leos), Jedidiah, Luke, and Lorelai Perez; and her great grandchildren, Martin and Mason Leos (Sanchez). She is survived by her relatives the Medellin Family from Armstrong Ranch and dozens of relatives from the Mondragon and Castillo family of Corpus Christi. Besides loving her family and friends, her dedication to the (Clara) Driscoll Foundation Children's Hospital beginning in the late 60's gave her a zest for life. While assisting pharmacists with pediatric medicine, her love for the hospital and Driscoll's cause kept her smiling daily. This includes all those she worked along side with in the pharmacy for 4 decades. Her knowledge, strength, and hard work came in part by her powerful spirit and faith in Christ and St. Jude. Public visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday, April 28, 2017 at Funeraria Del Angel Funeral Home with a rosary will be recited 7:00 pm.
