Sofia V. Garcia

Sofia V. Garcia went to be with our Lord on September 4, 2011 in Corpus Christi, Texas at the age of 87. She was born in Woodsboro, Texas on September 18, 1923 to Maria and Louis Villagran. She is much loved and will be greatly missed by all those that have shared her life with her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Maria and Louis Villagran; her first husband, Juan Flores; her second husband, Victor E. Garcia; her daughter, Gracie Espinosa; her siblings, Julio, Daniel, Justo, Urbano, Jose, Santos, and Juan Villagran.

She is survived by her daughters, Sylvia Ochoa, Anna Marie Valderrama and Mona Garcia Orr; 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Public visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Thursday, September 8, 2011 at Funeraria del Angel-Memorial Holly with a rosary to be recited at 7:30 pm that evening. The funeral mass will be at 10:00 am on Friday, September 9, 2011 at Christi the King Catholic Church at 1625 Arlington Dr., Corpus Christi, Texas. Interment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park at 4357 Ocean Dr., Corpus Christi, Texas.
