Ruth Carolyn Turner

Ruth was baptized at birth and again at age 72 by Dr. Ray Kiser. When she was in the 5th grade, her family moved to Wayneboro, Mississippi. She graduated from Wayneboro High School in 1950 and Jones County Jr. College in 1952. Ruth worked in Corpus Christi for First Savings Association, Trans Texas Mortgage Association and United Saving Association.

Preceded in death by her parents and sister, Kathryn and her husband, Raymond Allee “Hoot” Turner, Sr.

She is survived by her son, Raymond Allee Turner, Jr.; grandsons, Brandon Allee and Garrett Patrick Turner; three brothers, John Edward (her twin) West; Harold Wade West, Kenneth Aubrey West; two sisters, Doris Jean Stewart and Gladys Hazel Duncan.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 900 S. Shoreline, Corpus Christi, TX 78415.

A Chapel Service will be held on Monday, September 30, 2019 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home at 1:00 pm. Entombment will follow at Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
