I've been out of town and just heard about Bob's passing.  He was an old friend that I've known since the late 1980s.  We had many great times together. He was always upbeat, smiling and willing to help anyone in need.   He made you feel better by just being around him.
Our deepest condolences to Gloria and the rest of Bob's family.  He was a great guy and will be sorely missed.

I first met Bob in little league baseball.  His father, Jack was our coach on the Yankees.  We met up again at Lamar High School.  Although I was not nearly talented enough to join him on that state champion Lamar baseball team, I did have the privilege of playing on the same softball team and benefitting from his wonderful athletic ability.  He put up with mine.  Bob always called me Coach.  I was not the coach.  That was Bob.  
A few years later he asked me to sell his home, once again unconcerned with my abilities - as a realtor - but just as a friend.  That was Bob.  I still have the extremely clever book of his which contains his photos of makeshift basketball hoops around the state.  That was clever.  That was talent.  That was Bob.  I can tell from all of the other posts that Bob enriched the lives of so many more than just mine.  May his family take comfort in all of their wonderful memories as well as the many wonderful memories he provided for all of the rest of us.


We lived across the street from him and his family in houston since elementary school. Our mom's tempe and nancy both went to school together. They were a great family.

Bobby was a team mate at Lamar and a neighbor growing up. Bobby was a wonderful ball player and a dear friend. Bobby's family was tremendous-Jack, Nancy, Ray and Rick. Our family was blessed to have the Redding's as neighbors.  Though I have not seen Bobby a lot in recent years, it seems when we did see each other it was as we were never a part  The world has lost a wonderful man. Deepest sympathies to Bobby's family.  You will be missed dear friend. 

Bob and I played basketball and baseball together at Lamar High School in Houston. He was a hard worker on the court or field. Our baseball team won the State Championship his junior year, my senior year. He played 3rd base and I played 1st base and our team was close. I gave him a ride home most days after baseball  practice and had some great conversations. He was a great player but even a greater person. I last visited with him at his mom's funeral not too many years ago and we laughed and caught up.  Family, please know that he had influence on many throughout his life with myself being one of those. He will be missed. Please let me know if I  can do anything for you. Can’t believe he’s gone! I’ve known Bob since 10th grade that Lamar high school Houston Texas. Always played baseball and believe he was on the 1969 Texas state championship team from Lemar. Learn of his being a photographer about 20 years ago and had planned to meet up withI am in corpus, but it never worked out. Will remember all the good times!

Corpus is my new home.  Gloria guided me here and meeting Bob was one of the rewards.  We found so much in common. Maybe this was Bob’s way. To find things that allowed him to relate to others. 
Both of our lives centred around marketing and creativity. We talked about the early days of printing through to today’s digital evolution. Bob showed me his love of this city in  his photographs - from industrial silhouettes to wildlife. He was clearly a very talented man who celebrated all that surrounded him. 
Bob was working on his new workspace when we met. A beautiful old building he was both restoring and modifying to suit his purpose. Everything he needed, and likely much more just in case, was in there. I sensed a collector - a man who believed that even if he couldn’t see a use today would imagine a time in the future when he might.  
I was struck by something else. Despite all the restraints andsetbacks of covid, Bob was giving his all to retain employees and ensure them a future when business rebounded.  A true small business hero.  He moved from the past, to the present and described what he planned next with amazing energy.  Definitely a man with plans. 
For me, he was Hemingway like in attitude, humor and appearance.  The beard, the bandana and the man were all colourful. I have travelled the world on business but it was Bob who clearly had all the stories.  I always hoped to hear more. 
I can only imagine the void he has left for Gloria, for his family, for his friends and for Corpus. 
I can’t say rest in peace about a man of such creative energy - wherever he is, I’m sure he’s still planning something - but, I can share my sincere sympathy with his family and friends so suddenly left behind. Take your time to grieve and then look for the memories that will keep Bob with you for years to come. I know there must be many! 


Bob and I have been neighbors for many years; we saw each other almost daily.  He was an upbeat friend and a good listener.  We “solved” many world problems at the end of each day in the driveway.  

Mr. Bob, as my kids called him, was kind and thoughtful  to friends but also to those in need, and yes, even to stray dogs and cats.

He always seemed to be busy, always a new project, a new idea, something needing to be done.

Just recently he demonstrated his ability as a “chef” by grilling sausage and brisket and sharing it with us.  As a neighbor we smelled it smoking and then got to eat it as well. What a great neighbor and friend.

We miss you, a lot of people will miss you, the neighborhood will miss you.  An end of an era.  Rest In Peace.

We will miss you, we considered him part of our family here at prices chef. He always came in with such a cheerful demeanor and helped brighten our days. 


I met Bob about 1990 and the fun and memories started. I talked to Bob about three times a week about everything from politics too what are we going to Build next. I was the inventor of automatic tire inflation System  and he was the marketing guru along with his team. Bob had a big giant marketing brain. The logo that he created for PSI was the launching mechanism for the company. Then came the creative advertising for the trucking magazines. Oh boy those ads were a big hit.
We went on many photo shoots together and he was definitely the best I’ve ever been around. He also knew where all the great food was wherever we were together.
The city of Corpus Christi just lost one creative And loving man.
Boy oh boy is he going to be missed by me and a lot of other people.
