Richard "Rico" Lee Gonzalez

Richard graduated from Mary Carroll High School with the class of '98. His hobbies included fixing computers, barbecuing, and cooking for the family. Richard had a passion for music and was a talented guitarist and singer who played most of his life.

Richard was always willing to help, lend a hand or an ear, especially towards his grandmother, Connie Vasquez. Richard enjoyed being around the people he loved; family and friends. Richard has touched so many people through his music, his humor, and his contagious smile. He was a loving son, amazing and outgoing brother, and a caring and involved uncle towards his two nephews.

Richard is survived by his parents, Joe and Criselda Gonzalez; brother, Joe R. Gonzalez Jr.; sister, Cristy Gonzalez; and nephews, Austin and Dylan Graham.

Visitation will be held from 5 PM until 9 PM on Monday, November 13, 2023, at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with a Prayer Service to occur that same night at 7 PM. Continued Visitation will be held at 12 PM on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will begin at 2 PM, followed by Interment at Memory Gardens Cemetery. A Reception Gathering will be held following the interment at El Mesias Baptist Church, 4418 Molina St., Corpus Christi, Texas 78412.

Those with the honor of being a pallbearer are as follows: Gabriel Garza, Caleb Brambila, Israel Vasquez, Eriel Vasquez, Joe R. Gonzalez Sr., Joe R. Gonzalez Jr., Arturo Lopez, and Pete Bobby Rodriguez.
