She had a beautiful family; seven children, seventeen grandchildren, thirty one great-grandchildren, thirty two great-great-grandchildren and two more due very soon.
She worked as a sales consultant for Avon for over 10 years. She had a heart of gold that was pure love for her family and friends. She was a wonderful mother, a remarkable grandmother, amazing great-grandmother, extraordinary great-great grandmother who was always there when we needed her. She also had three surviving siblings, many nieces, nephews, friends who loved her dearly.
Ramona lived as a devoted Catholic and was our family's prayer warrior and now our guardian angel. We are grateful for her support on laying the foundation in our faith and for her love on helping others. You can always count to receive a blessing from her each time we visited her.
She was a great cook, made everything from scratch and she kept our traditions alive for majority of her life. No matter what time you came to visit she would cook a hot meal. We are beyond thankful for her personal sacrifice without hesitation to help raise many of her grandchildren and great grandchildren with unconditional love in return. We all admired our Grandma Mona. She continued to encourage all of us throughout our lives.
She had as many old remedies to heal us when we were sick and had a strong passion for gardening and had the green thumb that gave life to all her plants. Her garden of paradise was with vibrant and colorful roses and favorite plant was hibiscus.
She loved music, she loved to sing especially when there were mariachi's performing. It brought so much happiness to her heart. To us she was the best blessing in the world.
There are many wonderful memories, her wisdom we gained and we will forever cherish and continue to honor her as the matriarch of the Alvarez family.
