Petra L. Trevino went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 18, 2011, after a courageous battle with cancer. She passed away surrounded by her loved ones at a local Hospice Center. She was 78. Petra devoted much of her time volunteering with CCISD. She was honored with the Outstanding Service Award at Menger Elementary School and Wynn Seale Academy.
She leaves behind her husband of 57 years, Jesus Trevino and her children; Oscar (Margaret) Flores, Anna (Lee) Bergara, Toni (Sergio) Guzman, Alma D. Gomez, and Janie Trevino. She leaves behind 13 grandchildren, including Christopher Flores who she raised and numerous great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Daniel and Elvira LoyRaud and two sons, Mario Flores and Ruben Flores.
The Trevino family would like to extend their love and gratitude to the "angels" at VistaCare Hospice Center as well as to family and friends for their prayers and support.
A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at Funeraria Del Angel-Memorial Holly Chapel. Services conclude on that evening.
