Palmira G. Reyes, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend was called home by our Lord on Wednesday Oct 16, 2013 after a courageous 3yr battle with Ovarian Cancer. Though her physical body succumbed to this dreadful disease, her thirst for life, her fighting spirit and love for her family, friends and Lord never did. She was born in December 6, 1966 in Corpus Christi Texas, graduated from Mary Carroll HS in 1985 the same year marrying her Jr. High sweetheart. They traveled the western half of the US for several years and enjoyed various adventures and experiences that strengthened their marriage of 28yrs before settling in Elko NV in 1989 were they raised two wonderful daughters. She touched many lives with her kindness & generosity, she was the foundation for her family & though she lived several thousand miles away from her parents and siblings she never went longer than a week without calling them & never missing to send them a birthday or holiday wishes. She was a simple and very conservative person but not when it came to her family which there was nothing she would not do for them. Palmira is survived by her husband Martin Reyes, daughters Lynnette and Stephanie Reyes, parents Manuel and Carmela Garcia, Sisters Patsy Garcia, Perla Molina, Priscilla Gutierrez, Brother Lewis Garcia and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her oldest sister Priscilla Garcia, grandparents Manuel & Eva Garcia, Luis & Antonia Garcia and Aunt Maria Elena Perez. There will be a rosary & viewing on Wednesday October 23, 2013 at 7pm at St. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church and funeral service, Thursday October 24, 2013 9:30am at St. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church followed by a procession to Memory Gardens cemetery where she will be laid to rest.
