Mike and I had lost touch over the last few years so I'm shocked to just now find out about his passing. I met Mike back in 2010 when he was an instructor for American Honda.  Mike and I hit it off and became friends outside of the classroom.  So much in fact that he invited me from Ohio to stay with him in Corpus on several occasions.  He showed me how to smoke meat, and make salsa the Texas way, while we enjoyed a few cold ones.  Mike was someone I looked up to and who I will never forget.  He had a larger than life personality and I will forever be grateful that we became friends.  I know you are up there singing the blues with Stevie Ray Vaughn.  Much love...

My sincerest deepest condolences to Mike’s family, especially his loving wife Suzy or what he liked to call her Sue Sue. I am so sorry for your loss. Mike was a wonderful friend and the biggest flirt I ever met. He had no enemies, just friends. I wish all the best to his family and his grandson who always came and visited with him. He was a lucky man to have such a loving caring family. R. I. P. Mike and I will see you when God allows it.

My late uncle David "Doc" de Alcala often said that Mike Luna was a "force of nature." Mike loved this compliment, and this is how I will remember him -- a man larger than life, with a hearty laugh and a generous soul. Rest in peace Mike, our deepest sympathies and prayers of peace and comfort go out to the entire family.

Mike has been a part if our family for many years! He and Susan have two wonderful children, and now, four terrific grandchildren. He had quite a knack for being successful in business ventures, championship bass fishing, and being the largest personality in any group he was in. No one ever forgot who he was!

I would like to extend my heartfelt condolences to Mike Luna’s Family. I share in your pain. I had the privilege of knowing and working with Mike Luna. He was a gregarious guy with with a bigger than life persona. He was incredibly intelligent and and was a true leader and motivator! He had an incredible sense of humor and enjoyed making provocative statements to see what kind of rise he could elicit from you! He loved his children and grandkids and spoke of them with pride. I will miss my friend but I will remember the great times we shared! Until we meet again Mike.
