Dr.Torres was such a caring person who always checked up on me throughout life in school. Today I found myself thinking of him because he had visted me at my new school to make sure I was doing well and succeed in life a long time ago in middle school when I felt like giving up. Today I’m a health care provider, and I thought about him today because I wanted to thank him for always pushing me in life to keep going, I know I wouldn’t have made it with out his encouraging words. I remember our camp days and all the great times we did school activities and than this popped up and although it saddens me I have to remember he would be telling me to keep my head up and not to cry. My condolences to the family. May god give y’all strength in life and continue to give you some healing. Dr. Torres was a amazing person beyond words. 

To my favorite cousin, I am so sorry that we lost contact and I just learned of your passing today. I have so many happy memories of growing up with you in California in the sixties and one memory in Oklahoma City in 1980. I'll love you forever and I look forward to seeing you in heaven❤

Such a wonderful fellow who was loved by all of us at West Oso High School  when he was our athletic director, football coach, and assistant principal.   One could never be discouraged for very long when Mike was in the room.  I would wager that no one on  the planet  has a bitter memory involving this gentleman. He was unfailingly kind and generous.  My deepest sympathy to his family.

What a tremendous loss in so many ways. Stella, please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you in this difficult time. Mike was not only a friend but an admired educator. He was a master presenter and a highly knowledgable consultant. I valued his opinion. I learned from him. On behalf of all the teachers he taught, on behalf of all the consultants he worked with, on behalf of all the students that were lucky enough to know him.....THANK YOU for sharing him with us. Dearest Stella,  Mike was a deeply passionate leader and educator. He expected the best from us and equipped us to be able to lead with excellence. He encouraged us with words, smiles, a thumbs up or with a hug. He wanted to provide Principals top quality training so that we could then impact teachers and ultimately students! I will miss knowing that Mike was there to depend on and to call on.  My heart hurts, but it also rejoices knowing that he is a child of God. Mike is with Jesus...Our angel watching over us. My love and prayers to you Stella and to your family.

It is with great sadness that I write this.  Mike will be deeply missed.  He was one of the good guys.  He was a teacher, a leader, and he so loved Stella. He truly touched many lives.  He made a difference!

My deepest condolences go out to the entire family of this wonderful man, Michael Torres. As a new teacher nearly eleven years ago, I had the privilege of working with Mr. Torres at South Park Middle School. His infectious spirit and endearing sense of humor made my first year of teaching a memorable experience. He undoubtedly touched the lives of many, myself included, with his commitment and dedication to his job/community. May his soul forever rest in peace, and may his family and friends find comfort and strength during this difficult time.

Stella, Mike was truly a role model to all those that he came in touch with.  He was the definition of kindness.  Mike was always so willing to take precious time out of his schedule to mentor me when I sought out his advice or guidance.  I am forever grateful for his leadership.
