Marion Garland White

He graduated from Miller High School in 1947 and attended The University of Corpus Christi prior to serving four years in the United States Army during the Korean War. He then re-entered The University of Corpus Christi receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in Teacher Education in 1956, and later a Master’s Degree in Educational Supervision at Texas A & I University in Kingsville, Texas. After a career in the Education field, he started M.G. White Furniture Restoration in 1980 and continued until his retirement in November of 2019.

He is preceded in death by his three brothers, Wilburn, Harry and Johnny White and his daughter, Dawn Pait. Left to cherish his memories are his granddaughter, Melissa Buckler; three great-grandsons, Christian, Kaleb and Keegan; his granddaughter, Carrie Jackson(Aric Martinez) and great granddaughter, Dillan Martinez; his very close friend, dance partner and companion for the past 24 years, Evelyn Papasan, along with several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024 at 11:00AM at Safe Harbor Fellowship, located at 3401 Santa Fe St., Corpus Christi, Texas 78401. Billy Storms will be officiating the service.
