Maria R. Vela was granted her Angel Wings on October 23, 2012. She was born September 14, 1927. She was deeply loved by her family and will be dearly missed.
Maria lived a long fulfilling life, those who knew her were touched by her and understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories; her sons, Guadalupe, Victor, and Joe Vela; daughters, Josie Vela and Maria Hernandez; sisters, Rosie and Odelia and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Family will be receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at Funeraria del Angel, 549 Cheyenne St. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A visitation to resume at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, October 26, 2012 with a graveside service to follow at Memory Gardens.
