Maria Elena Rodriguez

Maria Elena Rodriguez, age 74 passed away on July 25, 2014 at a local hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born on May 2, 1940 in Piedras Negras, Mexico. Maria was a loving stay at home mom and loved to take care of her family. She was a long time resident of Corpus Christi, Texas. Maria was married for 57 years to Juan Manuel Rodriguez.

She is preceded in death by her parents and numerous sisters and a brother.

Maria leaves behind to cherish her memories; her husband, Juan Manuel Rodriguez; children, Juan Rodriguez, Maricela (Salomon) Prado, Manuel Rodriguez (Mary Ellen Barrientes), Peter Rodriguez, Jose (Victoria Diaz) Rodriguez, Oscar (Araceli) Rodriguez; sister, Herlinda Hernandez Lopez from Wilwaukee, Wisconsin; 20 grandchildren; 27 great- grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with a prayer service to be at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
