She married Mateo Morales, Sr. on August 26, 1954. Maria was a member of Iglesia De Dios Christian Outreach. She was a prayer warrior, had the faith that moved mountains and she loved the Lord with all her heart. She would spend her days singing, gardening, praying for all of her family, cooking delicious meals and loving her husband. She adored all her children and was the biggest cheerleader and supporter to all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She boasted about all she loved and went to every type of event her family was involved in. She loved everything life had to offer her and never went a day without her perfect outfit and "lipstick." She loved everyone the same and will be forever be missed.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Mateo Morales, Sr., her parents, and several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her children: son, Santiago Morales; son, Mateo Morales, Jr. (Marthalyn); daughter, Maria Luisa Morales-Banda; son, Raul Morales (Alicia); daughter, Ruth Cavazos (Vicente); son, Joe Henry Morales (Sandie); 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Thursday, April 14, 2022 from 5 – 8 PM with prayer service at 7:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 15, 2022 at 10:00 AM with burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
