She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.
Maria was married to Jesus A. Cortez, who preceded her in death.
Maria is survived by her children, Maggie C. Gonzales (Arturo), Richard A. Cortez (Susana), Hilda C. Flores, Jesse A. Cortez, Ernest Cortez (Gloria), Ruben Cortez (Connie) and Abel Cortez; 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ruben Cortez Jr., Chris Cortez, Ernest Cortez Jr., Robert Flores, Matthew Cortez and Eric Galvan.
Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A Funeral Service will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
