Luz G. Vasquez-Flores, age 88 passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2023 with family and medical staff by her side. Luz was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on April 6, 1935 and attended Corpus Christi High School.
Luz is preceded in death by her parents, Juan D. and Carmen Garcia; Leonard Vasquez, Sr., and Guadalupe Flores; (sons) Juan E. Vasquez; Hector A. Vasquez and daughters, Patricia V. Meave and Irma V. Medrano.
Luz leaves behind her family to cherish her devoted love and memories, including sisters, Yolanda G. Ruiz and Mary G. Garcia, (sons) Leonard Vasquez, Jr., Israel (Denise) Vasquez of Lexington, KY, (daughters) Diana V. (Ruben) Galabeas; Amy V. (Johnny) DelaRosa; Lori V. Ramirez; Matilda V. (Rudel) Pilapil of Houston, TX; Lisa V. Garza of San Antonio, TX; Leslie V. (Joey) Torres; stepdaughter; Diana F. Chad of Harrisburg, PA; 25 grand-children; 25 great grandchildren and one great- great grandchild.
On Wednesday, September 20, 2023, visitation and public viewing will be held from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Funeraria Del Angel Memorial, 3442 Holly Rd, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415.
On Thursday, September 21, 2023, a Rosary and Mass will be celebrated at Saints Cyril Methodius Catholic Church, 3210 SPID, Corpus Christi, TX from 9:30am – 10:00am with church mass to follow from 10:00 – 11:00am with interment to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park, 2731 Comanche St., Corpus Christi, Texas 78408.
