She met her husband, John A. White, during WWII at Camp Grant, Illinois and they were married July 25, 1946 in Rockford, Illinois. She was a farmer's wife and stay at home mother for many years. She was a long time member of Travis Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher and a Kindergarten teacher for years. There is no dought that she is standing in the glory of the Lord and thank you Jesus for letting us have her for 94 years. We know that you have not lost something when you know where it has gone.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, John A. White; parent, Henry Lundgren and Marie Louise Hauch Lundgren; brother, Ernest Henry Lundgren; and son-in-law, Kenneth L. McDonald.
She is survived by her two daughters; Vicky White McDonald of Sandia, Texas, and Jackie White (Rick) Hale of Mathis, Texas; son, John A. (Terry Cowser) White III of Corpus Christi, Texas; four grandchildren; Jennifer Hale Carter, Stacey Hale (Christopher) Cardenas, Jessica White (John) Martinez, Jake A. White; five great grandchildren, Hannah (Daniel) Salazar, Madison Cardenas, Christopher Cardenas, ALexander Martinez, MacKenna Martinez; and brother-in-law, Marion G. White; and numerous other family members and friends.
Graveside services will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home and Cemetery on Monday, September 27, 2021 at 11:00am.
