She was born in Corpus Christi on June 11, 1975 where she received a Master of Science as a Nurse Practitioner from Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi.
She was married to Andy Rodriguez on November 20, 2009 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Lisa worked as a Nurse Practitioner for Christus Spohn Health Systems and previously at Memorial Hospital. She was a practicing Catholic and had a passion for spending time with her family at the beach and going on family vacations. She loved running, doing crafts and enjoyed time in the sun. She loved her job that allowed her to help others. Lisa was loved by so many and she will truly be missed.
Lisa was survived by her loving husband, Andy Rodriguez; her beautiful daughter, Lorraine; her handsome sons, Richard and AJ; her mother, Olga Garcia (Robert Salinas); her sister, Nancy Lara (Tighe Thain); and her brother, Carlos Lara, Jr. (Melanie Galabeas.)
She was loved and respected by so many friends and colleagues.
We would like to offer our sincere thanks and gratitude to the amazing staff at Coastal Bend Cancer Center. Dr. Ajay Seghal and Dr. Travis Thompson, and to all the nurses and staff who gave such amazing care to our love, Lisa. Thank you to all her friends who have come to support our family at this time. We truly appreciate the fundraisers, food donations and flowers.
Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 from 5:00 – 9:00 PM, with the Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Pius X Catholic Church on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at 10:00 AM, with burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
