Lester Greg Garza joined his heavenly family on November 11, 2021, he was 61 years old. Lester was born on May 21, 1960, in San Diego, Texas to Gilbert and Elma Garza. As the youngest of five children, father of six, and grandfather of five (plus two on the way), Lester loved his family, through and through.
Lester married the love of his life, Pamelia, on February 5, 2000, at their home in Corpus Christi, Texas and together they loved and raised six children. Lester worked as a Corpus Christi Firefighter for 29.5 years and served as a Paramedic at Driscoll Children’s Hospital Transport Team for 18 years. He absolutely loved the work he did.
Aside from his career, Lester was a son, brother, father, uncle, cousin, grandfather, and cherished friend to countless individuals.
Lester is survived by his wife, Pamelia; siblings, Leida, (Kenny) Orgeron, Lillian Villarreal (Donna Bean), Louie R. (Frances) Garza, and Lonnie G. (Yvonne) Garza.
Lester will forever be missed by his children, Lester (Ashley) Garza Jr., Candice (Charlie) Garcia, Logan (Lucy) Garza, Michelle (Jose) Cruz, Rebecca (Jeffrey) Koenig, Kimberlee (Jacob) Olmeda. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Lauren, Bellatrix, JB, Kalel, and Alana.
Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home in Corpus Christi on Friday, November 19, 2021, from 5:00 – 8:00 PM. Celebration of Life Services will be held at Memory Gardens on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at 10:00 AM, with burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
