Leonel Figueroa (Baby) Salinas

Leonel Figueroa (Baby) Salinas born June 25, 1951 to the late Leonzo Leonel and Esther F. Salinas went to be with the Lord on March 14, 2012 with his family by his side. He was preceded in death by his siblings Ernesto Salinas and Esther Martinez.

Leonel was a graduate of West Oso High School. He enjoyed football and was a dedicated fan of the Houston Texans.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his nephew Paul (Blanca) Salinas whom he raised as a son. Leonel was Paul’s uncle, dad, and best friend; Nieces Cindy (Oscar) Valdez and Doris Martinez; great nephew Paul Salinas, Jr. and great-niece Erica Valdez. Leonel was a loving person who will be dearly missed by all his family, aunts, cousins, host of friends, and special family members: Crissy, Tito and Miranda.

A Special Thanks to M & M Tool International, where he was employed as a machinist for 25 years, for all of their support and friendship.

The family will be receiving friends on Friday, March 16, 2012 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm that same evening at Funeraria del Angel Chapel, 549 Cheyenne. A Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Our Lady of Pilar Catholic Church at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
