He worked at Alley Crocker for over 20 years. He worked for the City of Corpus Christi for 20 years and retired in 1996. He loved helping other in need and was a well-known man. All who knew him and loved him will miss him.
He is preceded in death by his father, Celestino Pantoja; mother, Maria P. Pantoja; his first wife, Amparo De Los Santos Pantoja and second wife, Maria G. Pantoja of 50 years. His brothers, Enrique, Alfredo, Ruben Pantoja and two sister, Margarita Prado and Leandrita Pantoja. His sons, Juan Jose, and David Pantoja; and daughter, Gloria Martinez.
Jose is survived by one brother, Carlos Pantoja (Lupe); children, Evangelina (Hector), Henry (Mary Lou), Estella, Paula (George), Robert (Carmen), Rosita (Raynaldo), Ruby (Chris), Jose Antonio Jr. (Margie), Johnny (Gloria) and numerous nieces, nephew, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and extended family.
The family will receive condolences on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Funeraria Del Angel, 549 Cheyenne, Corpus Christi, TX from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.
Thursday, January 27, 2022 at 8:15 am will be family time with departure at 9:30 am to Holy Family Catholic Church, 2509 Nogales, Corpus Christi, TX where a Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am.
Interment will follow at Memory Gardens, 8200 Old Brownsville Rd, Corpus Christi, TX.
The family is recommending the use of facemasks and the practice of social distancing while attending the funeral services due to the pandemic.
