He was married to Frances P. Mondragon on May 20, 1978 and were blessed with 42 wonderful years together. Joe was retired from Don Hoskins Automotive and Mayflower Moving Company where he worked as a mechanic.
He is preceded in death by his parents Juan and Petra Mondragon; daughter, Diana Alba; son, Moses Mondragon (Lucy); sisters: Josephine Young and Margarita Perez and grandson, Albert Alba.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Francis P. Mondragon. He also leaves behind to cherish his memory his children: Rose Luna (Jim), Linda Vega (Genero), Lori Rivas (Ignacio), Carlos Mondragon (Maria) and Betty Mathews (Judd); stepchildren, Robert Galabeas (Mari), Urbano Galabeas (Diana D.), Rockie Galabeas (Mela), Roy Galabeas (Becky), Diana Castro (Alex) and Ruben Galabeas (Diana).
To continue his legacy are his 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his 20 step-grandchildren and 48 step great-grandchildren.

Services will be held on January 25, 2021 from 12:30pm to 2:00 pm with a Funeral Service to begin at 2:00 pm at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel.
