Jesus A Borrego

Jesus A Borrego passed away on March 6, 2014 at the age of 96. He was born on May 5, 1917 in Laredo, TX to Luis and Carmen Borrego. Jesus was a master shoe repairman for most of his life and later owned the Plumber’s Club. He was also a great singer of Spanish songs and enjoyed having barbecues with his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Lydia Borrego, Jesse Borrego Jr. and mother of his children, Leonor Borrego. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Borrego; children, Raul (Irene) Borrego, Ernest (Delia) Borrego, Rosa (Jose-deceased) Arizola, Luis (Mary) Borrego and Charlie Borrego. Also surviving is his sister, Anita (Willie) Rivera and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and other family members and friends.

The family will be receiving friends on Sunday, March 9, 2014 at Funeraria del Angel from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm that same evening. Funeral Mass will be on Monday, March 10, 2014 at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 422 N Alameda with interment to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
