Jesse Camacho

Jesus Camacho, 66, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away on October 13, 2022. He was born in Harlingen, Texas on March 7, 1956 to Maria Mejares and Macedonio Camacho. He grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas, receiving his education from W.B. Ray High School and attended U&I in Kingsville. Jesus worked in the mental health field for the state school, MHMR and Coastal Plains.

He married Kathleen Camacho on December 31, 1980 and they shared 42 years of marriage together.

He was a member of Most Precious Blood Catholic Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family, listening to music, watching sports, movies, exploring new technology and taking care of his lawn. Jesus was an animal lover who loved and cherished his Olde English Bulldogs; Angel, Skye, Baby and Blue. They were his pride and joy and brought a lot of happiness into his heart.

Jesus leaves behind a lifetime of wonderful memories and laughs to help ease our sorrows. He was a natural comedian, with a great sense of comic timing. Jesus’ life was a blessing to his family and he shall never be forgotten.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Maria Mejares and Macedonio Camacho and his son, John Camacho.

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Camacho; son, Roy (Rachael) Camacho; daughters, Trisia Camacho and Tarah (Michael) Gold. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren. Jesus will be missed by his brothers and sisters, Janis (Armando) Garza, Terry Joyce Rodriguez, Johnathan Mejares, Julio Mejares and Debra Anna Mejares.

Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Monday, October 24, 2022 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM with Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at 10:00 AM with burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
