Jerry Leon Roberts

Jerry Leon Roberts, 81, went to his heavenly home on August 21, 2022. Jerry was born in Hillsboro, TX on December 30, 1940. He was a 1959 graduate of Tuloso-Midway High School. He married Lela Cranfill on September 24, 1960 in Corpus Christi, TX. They were high school sweethearts and have been married almost 62 years.

Jerry opened and operated a swimming pool business, Bluewater Pools, in Corpus Christi for over 35 years until his retirement. He enjoyed sports and was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Astros. He loved being around his grandchildren and attending all of their sporting events. He also loved gardening, landscaping and country music.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Jackson and Maggie Viola Roberts; son, Jerry V. Roberts. He is survived by his wife, Lela C. Roberts; daughters, Janna Roberts and Lisa Bowers (Steve); grandchildren, Robin Roberts, Hunter Bowers, Tyler Bowers and Taylor Bowers; and brother, Tom V. Roberts.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Special memories honoring Jerry will be shared and lunch will be provided.

A private burial ceremony will be held at a later time.
