James was born on April 28th, 1940, in Seward, Alaska to Roy Alexander and Lucille Elizabeth Wiggins. He was a loving and devoted Husband and Father. On June 24th, 1962, he married Irma Benavides. They raised three children, Terri, Roy and Eloisa and were married for over 60 years.
James was a veteran who served his country well through the Navy Military Branch of service till retirement. He also worked as a civil servant till his 2nd retirement. His passions in life were cars, music, dancing, camping, fishing, traveling and his family. He had a quick wit and a good sense of humor.
When he became a grandfather, he made sure to spend time with his grandchildren and tell them all about his crazy adventures and mischief as a youngster.
As time went on, he came to live with family in Corpus Christi to receive the support he needed. Little did he know that it was he who provided the support and love we all needed. His jokester ways and witty comebacks kept us laughing and will continue to provide a lifetime of wonderful memories and laughter.
James was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Irma Irene; his father, Roy Alexander, his mother, Lucile Elizabeth, and his brothers Roy Ronald and Roy Edward. He is survived by his children Terri (Bud), Roy (Rosemary), Eloisa (Randy), 8 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and one on the way.
